Hey folks and welcome back to Your AI Roadmap. This is another AI tools I love. And today I'm gonna be talking about Podpitch. Now Luna has decided to join us in the studio. So if you hear a little jingling or perhaps a slight bark, that would be her. She's sitting on my lap being a snoozy girl. Today we're talking about Podpitch and I use this software primarily to help me get put on podcasts. And... As you may know from listening to this podcast, I am actively working to get the word out about my book with Wiley, Your AI Roadmap, the companion book to this podcast. And one of the best, most economical ways to get the word out to people who might be interested is through podcast placements. So sometimes people reach out to me and they say, hey Joan, do you want to be my podcast? I'm like, sure, but like, who are you? Do we have the same audience? And a lot of different promotional places make you pay to play or they're not a right fit with your audience. You follow up, got a lot of emails back and forth and back and forth. So here is Podpitch. I found this amazing software. It's an AI that pitches you to podcasts that match. So if you have a goal to be on more podcasts this year, like literally when I think back to some of the coolest influencers I know, I heard about them when they were a guest. on someone's podcast. So I know a lot of people around me are consuming podcasts. I certainly when I'm working out or walking Luna or whatever, listen to a lot of audio content. So let's check out Podpitch. So what they do is they take, let's, walk through the modules. You have different voices. So you can set up the tone of what the emails sound like. They make you pay per profile, it's roughly $300 per month. which may sound like a lot, but the ROI of being placed on an awesome podcast with thousands and thousands of listeners could be substantial. So I've set up my profile that we pitched Joan to speak as a podcast guest. got my long form biography that the generative AI takes components of my biography to match with the copy of the podcast as they pitch me. So I right now have one, two, three, four, five campaigns going. One is a personal development type podcast, AI Forward podcast, Women Entrepreneurs and Business podcast, Ambitious Women podcast, Money and Women podcast. So this is a demographic that I'm trying to target. And honestly, there are so many fabulous, supportive men who listen to my content. If you're one of them, Hala non-binary folks as well. But for my book specifically, Wiley and I have targeted Ambitious Women as being a key demo. So they have already sent out hundreds of emails on my behalf without me doing anything except setting up the software. It sends out the pitches 30 per day overall, and I have open rates in these campaigns of, and those of you who don't think about open rates a lot, I'm just gonna explain it for a second here. So when you send out an email to one person, if they open it, woohoo. Now let's imagine you have a hundred emails you're sending out and half the people open those emails, right? You send a lot of emails, people get so many emails, right? So if 50%, if you send out hundred emails, 50 % of people open them, that's a 50 % open rate, right? The rate of opening. So on this, I have 63 to 74 % open rates, which is pretty great. Most of the time people are opening the emails that are sent. And then of course we have the reply rates. People may open it, but they actually respond to like, yeah, I do want to Joan my podcast. Or no, it's not a good fit, but thanks for emailing us anyway, et cetera. So the reply rate that I've been getting in these percentages is between 11 % and 17 % reply rates to these emails, which is fantastic. And again, I didn't write these emails. I didn't send these emails. They're sent on my behalf. Now they ask me, How many minutes does it take to research, write, and send a pitch? And they do all the follow-ups. So I'm going to say that takes me an hour. And it believes it's already saved me 622 hours of work saved by them doing the research, writing, and pitching. And by them, I mean this AI software. OK, so let's jive into one of these campaigns. Let's look into the best performing campaign for reply rate. Here we go. AI Forward Campaign. OK, cool. So if you were to look in the software, I'm gonna walk you through what this dashboard looks like. So at the top, we have settings. So I can tell them a little bit about what type of things I'm looking for, who's the focus of the email. So they're pitching me the default voice. So they do recommend that you pitch as someone else. So I have my assistant pitching me, even though I'm the one that sets it up and she helps. I can add like, please don't use the word just. Always add one question so you can kind of customize how the writing is done. You can target podcasts with certain, like is it 1,000 listeners per month, 50,000 listeners per month? Do you want just US podcasts, Canadian podcasts, UK podcasts, worldwide podcasts? Follow up settings so if people don't respond or don't open, it will follow up. It'll send another one. Hey, I wanted to check in with you. And honestly, those follow-ups are so helpful because it does it automatically on a business day. And I've gotten so many pings back responses from not the first email, but the second email. So cool. So I set that up as business days between follow-ups is for business days. Smart pitching, it pitches people on Eastern Standard Time on weekdays between nine and 2 p.m. because people, anyway, I find those the best times for me. You can steal these thoughts. and you can put templates and CC people as well. You set up the the subject lines. Mine have, for example, careers during the age of AI aren't too stable. Yeah, that one's not performing well. The best one that's performing well is meet your next AI visionary, Dr. Joan Palmiter of Bajorek That is so generic. Apparently AI visionary is really attractive, who knows? But you can A-B test these different open rates, reply rates and sent. of different subject lines. I love data like this. Instead of just saying, this is the best subject line. Can you show me data? What does best mean? Is that the best open rate? Is that the best reply rate? How many do we send? You have all this data right here in this dashboard. So then you can go into the pitches and you may say, hey Joan, like who am I pitching? Like who are they pitching? What are these podcasts? Well, you can search and out of thousands of podcasts, thousands of podcasts they have in here, they match up ones with keywords that I've put in. So over here, have, these are podcasts that I'm pitching, but I may not be on, so y'all can just find out later. The Human-Centric AI Podcast, for example, is gonna be pitched soon. It apparently has 4,000 monthly listeners, and they have all this information about the podcast. They have episodes you can listen to and the length of episodes, Apple reviews. 4.93 and then it has sample emails. So with my bio and knowing about the context of this podcast, it says, Jones Deep AI Expertise showcased through the book aligns perfectly. They had a recent episode on about GDPR and AI legislation. So this could be a great fit. So here's the first email to these people. They've got the subject line sending January 6th. Hi team, in your latest episode discussing EU regulations, the emphasis on vehicle safety, blah, blah. It's fascinating to see how AI can redefine our day-to-day experiences. I believe that Joan Palmer-Bajorik would be a remarkable addition to the podcast as the founder of blah, blah, blah. So it pitches me, her experience working on AI-centric, blah, blah, blah. Would you be open to exploring this further? Best Angelica. So that's the first one. And it says that it's currently tracking the open and rate and has no pod pitch branding and then after four business days it's gonna send more follow-ups. So I have gotten many different replies and bookings from this already. It's been super cool to see and so you can follow the emails along from not sent, in progress, paused, scheduled, skipped if you find one that doesn't quite fit like for example I saw this podcast, AI Lawyer Talking Tech. It just didn't fit. It's about AI news stories in legal tech. I have people on who work in legal tech to this podcast, but I myself am not in legal tech. So not a good fit for me. And I'm not necessarily targeting lawyers. Anyway, so it has these and it's been awesome. I've already been getting booked on some cool ones and it recommends that it just smart pitches, that it just keeps. pitching and you may say, I craft beautiful emails. This is ridiculous. Do you really want just generative AI to be pitching you? Okay, you say that, but when you move it from manual, so you can send these manually, they can give it, they can give you the sample copy and you can manually send these emails. But the data from Podpitch says that if you turn it from the manual mode to the smart mode of them, just automatically pitching is five times more bookings, right? And of course they have the data to back that up. So I have been getting myself placed on awesome podcasts automatically, which is great ROI for me to connect with my audience. People already been telling me about hearing me on the podcast that I've been placed on. And I just think pod pitch is super cool. Now what's also happening is that people are, and I'm a speaker, you hear my voice, maybe you've seen me online. I do a lot of public speaking, so people know about me and they're asking me about speaking on podcasts outside of this pod software. And so one of the things I like to do also is check what the stats on pod pitch say, like the quality of the podcast is. If I don't know the podcast, maybe I need to do some research and in their search feature of their media list, you can actually go in and see the quality, the stats about the podcast and decide if it's the right fit for you. know, time is a precious resource. We don't get back. So, pod pitch is really cool. I looked into, I think the competitive analysis had almost 10 types of software like this. And I was so impressed with the generative AI capabilities of pod pitch, how easy it is to use, the onboarding was seamless. So, if you are interested in trying this out and getting pitched on, maybe you, maybe your boss, maybe your colleague, maybe there's a project coming up and you would love to have podcasts as a promotional channel that you care about, I would recommend checking out Podpitch and you can go to podpitch.com / Joan. I'll put it in the show notes and that will get you 20 % off your first month of Podpitch. How rad is that? So you can test it out. I will also say, so some software I've seen of this, they lock you into like a year plan. or you gotta do it for six months or whatever. This is month to month. If you use it one month, great, and you wanna cancel or pause, great. But it is in that way far, far cheaper to see if it's working for you and it's effective by just testing it out, your first month being 20 % off using this code. And then also if you wanna use it, stop it, maybe you have a huge campaign coming out and you wanna use it intensively for three months and then stop it for the rest of the year. Great, Podpitch does that. Luna is letting you know as she barks at the raindrops. Okay, so this was an AI tool I love. If you like Podpitch, let us know. If there are other tools that you're curious about, definitely put that feedback in the show notes form. Luna's being very vocal today. I hope you love dogs too. Well, this was a software I... worked really hard to find and pod pitch so far has been phenomenal. I hope you test it out, learn about it and potentially get on awesome podcasts that you're interested in being on based on generative AI helping you get there. Okay. I hope you have a wonderful day and see you on the next one.
