Hey folks, this is a special bonus episode to talk about the Your AI Roadmap book. And we have a special guest in the podcast recording studio today. If you are not watching this on YouTube, you will not be able to see her. Luna, can you say hello? So Luna doesn't actually speak on command, but she is brilliant. Luna is my tri -colored corgi girl. She's almost three years old. and she is very perceptive at learning words. As a linguist, of course, I've been teaching her many words. She can work on word discrimination of her different toys. she can be asked which toy to bring as we play catch and we play chuck it with balls. Luna is now tilting her head back and forth as I say some of her favorite words. So this is a little bit of a silly episode as I'll be interviewing Luna. who probably won't be speaking. She might make some noises. I'll work to keep the microphone nice and close so anyone could hear. good girl. She's checking out the microphone if you can hear that. Yeah, it's okay. It's just a microphone. Okay, so let's look at these questions, Luna. Luna, what's your name? I will be answering that. My name is Luna. I live in Seattle and I know Joan because she is my dog mom. Huzzah, okay. Luna, what were your impressions of the book? Luna doesn't quite read, she knows a lot of words, but not yet a reader. Buttons, know those dog buttons have been used before with Luna and she knows a lot of words. It actually freaked me out quite a bit when I put the word play and I put the word settle and I asked her things of what she wanted and she hit the play button. Play, play, play, if you've ever seen those dog buttons. They're pretty cool. What part or topic of the book surprised you most? she's yawning. She thought maybe the book was a little bit boring perhaps. Okay, target audience is not exactly a dog, but here we are. Have you seen examples of resilience, opportunities and volatility due to AI in your life? Well, you wanna give me a kiss? more yawns. thank you for the kisses. Can you all hear that on the mic? Luna giving kisses. She's very extroverted. Examples of resilience might include that I've had a lot of ups and downs in my career, but you're so young you don't remember much of that, Opportunities, sometimes we get to go on, well I guess opportunities in our lives. We get to go on more walks and more time to the dog park than we might usually do. You love walks with mommy. getting all those treats. yeah. yeah. She's looking at my eyes being like, how about now? How about now? yeah. When we think about careers in networking today, Luna actually doesn't really appreciate me going to a lot of networking events or flying into different conferences and I'm gone a lot. Yeah, that's the microphone. She's tapping the microphone. Are you noticing things? Maybe high frequencies? Okay, maybe she can hear things. I cannot. When we talk to friends, Luna has a lot of human friends, doggy friends. Do you talk to your friends about money? I doubt it. Yeah, she has some, they're like mini husky dogs that are some of her friends. I don't think they talk about money, but they probably talk about happiness. They probably talk about food and what a best life looks like, which for Luna, would be a lot more play outside, Let me turn her so you can see. Gentle, gentle, thank you. Comfort skill, talking about money. did you hear that? She made a little annoyance noise. doesn't like being held like this. How comfortable do you feel talking about money, Luna, when it's about treats and food? Maybe, I mean, you're really easy to talk to, honestly. So maybe that's a nine. Maybe a little uncomfortable. People feeling a little uncomfortable. She's very aware of how people feel. and especially if you're not having the best day, she'll give lots of cuddles and hugs. She does this little thing with her head where she'll put it on a leg or arm, or if you're lucky, a shoulder. Has your comfort level changed after reading the book? Well, again, hasn't really read the book, but I know our comfort levels of being happier in the house are different. Evolution, after reading the book, how does your understanding of AI... impact careers and money evolve? She's now trying to sleep. She would like to nap. What's your favorite aspect of the book? Probably that it's done. She didn't really appreciate all the time I spent writing. Instead of playing with her, going on walks, cuddles, I was in my office writing and writing and writing and writing and revising and writing. So those few months were not great for our relationship. She missed me. It was hard, but the writing got done. and she was okay and our relationship has recovered. We are in a good place now. Golden nuggets, what do you think other people might like most? I think as far as a dog is concerned, there are parts about taking care of a doggie so the doggie can be healthy and happy and talk about vet bills and making sure that people prepare. The dog is not just buying a dog or rescuing a dog, et cetera. taking care of a dog, making sure there's plenty of treats and water and food and doggy friends and taking care, I mean, I think good health of a dog. Okay, lovely. What are your biggest takeaways or action items from the book? What are your action items from the book? a good life playing with Sharky, Fishy, Platypus, Monkey Toy. she jumps. She's excited. She says, where are they? Let's instigate some play. Her heart is racing. It's okay. We'll play with Sharky soon, okay? All right, and then who might you recommend this book for? People around you. Maybe some of our human friends we could recommend this book to. Luna is really done with this interview, I gotta tell you all. Big yawn.
